We recently organised a couple of relay teams for the Maximium Adventure Race in Akuna Bay on Saturday August 16 and we had a great day out; Akuna Bay and its surrounds in Kuringai Chase National Park is a beautiful part of the world and I can not get to enough! The two teams were:
- Wolfpack A: Andrew Joseph (bike), David Jepsen (kayak paddle) and Jessica Alchin (run).
- Wolfpack B: Paul Horton (bike), Michael Girvan (kayak paddle) and Paul Tait (run).
I’m not talking it up, but I did the whole thing last year and the trail run of 14km feels like 26km! I was feeling for Jess and Paul.
Wolfpack A was victorious with a final lunge over the line by Jess!
